Privacy Statement

Protecting the privacy of information that identifies you personally (personal information) is important to Biogenerics Australia Pty Ltd (BGA).  This Privacy Statement sets out how BGA collects, uses and safeguards your personal information.  BGA adheres to the Australian National Privacy Principals listed in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cwth) when handling your personal information.

Collection of Personal Information

There are a number of situations in which it is necessary for BGA to collect personal information including from shareholders, other people associated with BGA and customers.  BGA may collect your personal information directly or in the case of some shareholders from the shareholder’s financial advisor.  For example BGA may collect and hold personal information including your full name, postal address, email address, Tax File Number (TFN), telephone number, bank account details and details of shareholdings.

The law allows you to choose not to provide your personal information.  However, in certain circumstances if you do not provide information, then BGA may not be able to fulfil a particular request or provide you with a particular service.  For example, BGA may not be able to fulfil a particular request made online.

Use of Personal Information

Any personal information BGA has about you will be used only for the purpose for which it was provided.

Personal information relating to shareholders is collected for the purpose of maintaining and administering the shareholder’s holdings efficiently and to enable BGA to comply with the law.  In carrying out these shareholding activities BGA may share a shareholder’s personal information with the shareholder’s financial advisor but only to the extent necessary to carry out the activity.  A shareholder may elect for their personal information not to be disclosed to their financial advisor by notifying the BGA privacy officer.  The BGA privacy officer may be contacted by email info@bga.net.au or by utilising the contact facility available on this website.

Accuracy of Personal Information

BGA aims to keep the personal information that it collects, uses or discloses as accurate, complete and up to date as possible.  If you would like to request details of the personal information that BGA holds about you, if you wish to advise BGA of any changes to the personal information that BGA holds about you, if you think the personal information BGA holds about you is inaccurate or if you think BGA has not followed this Privacy Statement please contact the BGA privacy officer.  The BGA privacy officer may be contacted by email info@bga.net.au or by utilising the contact facility available on this website.

Storage and Security

Your personal information is held by BGA in secure electronic systems and filing systems. Access to the information is limited to authorised personnel only.

The BGA Website

When you visit the BGA website, it provides a cookie to your web browser which it stores in the browser directory of your computer’s hard drive.  BGA does not use cookies to collect any personal information relating to you.  You may nominate within your browser to reject or delete a cookie.  Information on how to do this should be available from your browser.  If you do so, you may still access the BGA website however your use of some functions on the website may be limited.
